Mazda5 Prices Paid and Buying Experience

Re: Why is everybody paying so much for it? [vg33e power]

Here in Florida, the "Dealer Service Fee" is charged by most dealers on every transaction. It varies from what I have seen between $250 and $895. This is added after you negotiated your "best price" on the car, and if you challenge it, they say that they "have to" add it on, because they do that to all customers. Sometimes they will reduce the "best price" you negotiated ... Read More...

update to above post on '07 Mazda5

model: 2009 Mazda5 Sport with AT (blue with tan interior) price paid: $19390 + TTL (based on $3500 kelly blue book value for a '99 Jetta trade-in, buying an '07 Mazda5 and trading it in too) I've been at the Cutter Ala Moana Mazda dealer every day the last 10 days except Sunday. First to look casually, then to look at a low mile '07 (post above), negotiate on the '07, ... Read More...

Re: 2008 - 2009 Mazda 5 MT [boxrs4sale]

Yeah, economy is bad, but out of all the Mazdas the Mazda5 is the fastest moving vehicle in the lots (it is not a Dodge Durango), so I still believe you are dealing a 2008 not an 09, and it does not matter if both are new, it is just how things work. Anyway, good luck, post here if you get the 15K deal Oh, and my Civic was a 99, it was nice but not fun to drive, the Mazda5, even ... Read More...

Re: 2008 - 2009 Mazda 5 MT [boxrs4sale]

The 2008-2009 mazda5 does not exist. It is either a 2008 or a 2009. I've owned a Civic before, boring and small cars. Mazda has a much better driver-car engagement. Now, if they are selling it for that price, for sure is a 2008. Read More...

Re: Mazda Credit Corporation - Unethical Practices [dfz1]

My husband's truck was financed through Ford credit back in 2000. We had direct-payment from our checking account, but they somehow made numerous errors during a 90 day period and seriously messed up our credit for about six months until I could get everything cleared up and their ERRONEOUS dings on our credit removed. It took many unpleasant phone calls before ... Read More...

Mazda 5 vs Kia Rondo

Re: A 2009 Rondo Rental [palko]

1) Yes, acceleration was very decent. Again, I didn't like the 4AT upshifting gear to RPM ratio changes, but still, very decent. Now, I really like the 4cyl Mazda MZR engine sound at high RPMs but the KIA one sounded awky. Now, if you don't mind about those things, it was very decent... 2) I only filled-up once. It was around 22MPG. Please note that it was a rental so ... Read More...

A 2009 Rondo Rental

Yeah, I did it. Enough of assumptions, while on business travel I arrived to the rental area and found a Rondo, so here we are: Rented 2009 Rondo LX I4, 5-seater, ~2100mi on the clock Pros Really nice exterior color. It was the Black Cherry I believe. The sunlight effects are great The Kumho tires (16in) are very decent, good grip. The highway drive is very quiet and ... Read More...

Surprised but very happy

On August 16th, just picked up a 2008 Touring Mazda 5, Desert Sand, with most options, including the entertainment package. Price was right at the TMV. :D Using several internet sites, especially Edmunds, we had narrowed our initial choices (at least on paper) to Mazda 5 Touring or Grand Touring or Rondo EX, most likely 2008 to get a deal. I expected to either like ... Read More...

Mazda5 Lease Questions

Re: Lease factors for 2009 M5 GT [dv8tor]

Hi dv8tor. Mazda has published lease programs for a number of 2009 models, but I haven't seen anything for the '09 Mazda5 yet. In fact, it does not appear to have any lease support on the '08 Mazda5 either. This means that if you want to lease one you would have to do so through Mazda Credit using its standard lease program, which is not a good idea because it's reeeeeeally ... Read More...
