This problem has plagued the Quest since 2004. About the only thing you can do is bring it back to the dealer since it is still under warranty. Before you bring it back in, make sure you don't have anything in the tracks. Be persistent. Read More...

I bought a used 2008 Nissan Quest base model with 20800 miles and it runs really well except that there is a squeaking and rattling noise coming from the sliding doors. The noise comes up when I hit road bumps or rough roads. My friend has the same vehicle but his unit does not have this annoying noise. Thanks for the reply. I went back to Uhaul and they insist it's the van's wiring system from the factory. I'm going to go to another Uhaul dealer and have someone else take a look at it. The link you sent me was for a 2007 Nissan. I don't know how much of a diffence that would make. I have been told from the dealer that they had problems with the 2008 quest wiring systems ... You are getting the run around. Not sure how installing a trailer hitch would void your warranty??? It seems to me that U-Haul is the one you need to talk to. They installed the hitch and it is not working properly. If they need a heavy duty flasher to complete installation (never heard of this), they should get the part and install it. I just bought a new 2008 Quest base model mini van. I wanted a hitch so the dealer sent me to Uhaul and they installed one. The problem I have is I have turn signals that only work occassionally when hooked up to the trailer. Uhaul sent me to the dealer to have a heavy duty flasher installed. Dandy, I agree with your whole post. Nissan lacks the rep of Toyota and Honda, but they match or exceed their price. What was the 500 volume discount you were referring to? We have dealers here still with 2007s. And I don't see when they are going to clear out the 2008s with the economic progressions. It is going to be a brutal sales month for Nissan (at least the minivans). Read More...

Hey Pudge, I agree with you, but Nissan has a big problem. Honda and Toyota still make a better product, but Nissan is more expensive....The 5000 price tag off of Quest in addition to 3500 actually made me willing to forgo having a Honda or Toyota.
